Description:

Job Duties

• Assist Boiler Operator in operation of boilers and associated water systems and both the mini and effluent treatment plants
• Within one year, be able to operate these systems without supervision
• Perform BOD lab testing as needed on weekends or during WWTP operator vacations
• Develop skills necessary to obtain WDNR Wastewater Operator Certification
• Other boiler house and mill duties as outlined by the Process Area Leader, including but not limited to housekeeping and grounds maintenance

Physical Demands

• Must be physically fit
• Lifting/carrying 50 lbs
• Climbing/balancing

Working Conditions

• Work is located inside and outside
• Physical surroundings may have extremes of wet, humid, cold and heat conditions as well as noise and vibration.

• Physical surroundings may expose individual to fumes, odors, humidity, wet, dust, and poor ventilation.
• Self-directed team environment
• 12-hour work schedule

Skills Required

• Prior boiler operation and/or wastewater experience is preferred
• Operation of lift trucks
• Effective verbal and written communications
• Computer entry and recovery of data
• Good sampling and testing techniques

• Forklift Training
• Front End Loader
